Hi, Scheherazade here! I LOVE taking photos of families and little humans (AND CATS lol)! In fact, I started taking newborn and family photographs when my daughter was born in Dubai and I fell in love (that's us above along with my husband). When I'm not running my small business, I'm either being ordered around by my 10 year old to "look at her" for the millionth time 😅, painting, making travel plans with other mum friends that never seem to materialize (not hard to figure out why lol), or dreading cooking. Oh and I'm also a gadget hoarder and have robots do my housework for me!

I used to love reading novels, playing video games, binge-watching tv shows, listening to music from the 80s, 90s and 2000s, and doing all sorts of creative activities, but somewhere along the way, life became heavy and depressing and tiring and difficult.

These past few years, rage has filled me every time I realized how unjust this world is. I couldn't enjoy any moment of my own life, realizing there were people and families just like me, being made to live in hell on earth.

And while I am learning to navigate this reality and changing the way I've been programmed to think and be, it is an ongoing process.

I don't want to come here and lie that life for me as a mum and a small business owner is all peachy and fine. Because that's not the truth.

I mention all this here because I want to work with more mums and families going forward who value honesty, equity and justice. And who want their REAL life moments captured.

Who value experiences and authenticity more than anything else!

Photography started as a passion for me back when I was a business intelligence executive doing the 9-6 corporate job. But it has evolved into something beyond passion. I really really believe in collecting authentic family memories; of kids, but also mums in the same frame as the kids.
